The Lucy Blair Service Award was established in 1969 to honor the long and dedicated service of Lucy Blair, to be given to one or more members each year for contributions of exceptional value to the association. Blair was the sole first recipient in 1969, and service pins were awarded to 20 members in 1971, the first year in which the award was bestowed on selected applicants.
